Build

This is the first time that Fairview has entered the FIRST competition, but you wouldn't know it from their entry. The competition started with a kick-off meeting at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science on January 6th 2007. The students then had 6 weeks to build their robot from a kit of parts and anything else they could adapt to the task. The robot had to be designed to perform specific actions in order to score points in the game for 2007, including driving around, placing inflated rings on elevated pegs, and raising other robots 12" off the ground to gain additional points.
